Etsu Double Yuzu is an authentic Japanese gin from the Akita distillery on the island of Honshu, known for its rich botanical composition and dominant aroma of Japanese yuzu fruit . Plants such as juniper, angelica, licorice and coriander are macerated for seven days before distillation , while fresh spring water from Mount Taisetsu is used - which gives this gin incredible purity and freshness .
The aromas are citrusy, herbal and slightly spicy , with clear notes of matcha tea and bitter orange , which create a drinkable, refreshing and spicy profile .
It is best combined with tonic, ice and a slice of lemon or lime , for a real Japanese gin experience.
